Britney never really clarified her reasons for quitting the Billboard Award show, but Paris did comment that she quit the show due to "satirical references ridiculed some of her peers," which she did not want to take a part in. Could this "satirical reference" be a KFed joke? After all we know that Britney is still sensetive to such jokes.
This is the assumption made this morning by TMZ as to Britney’s retraction from the show. Since the show contained a major rip on KFed as before a commercial break, an announcer said there’d be a special performance by Federline. This announcement was followed by a film clip of hundreds of horrified screaming teens running from a theater!
Whether Britney stays away from being involved in KFed jokes or she is still sensetive to the whole story, this sound like exagaration to me. I am not sure what could have gotten her better PR though, avoiding a show which ridiculed her ex or actually appearing at the show. I think the latter, but… go figure.
